Biographical / Historical
The Water Policy Review Board was created in 1975 to supervise the Water Resources Department. During its lifetime, the Board held public meetings and participated in discussions with various groups, such as the Department of Fish and Wildlife and Department of Environmental Quality. Other common attendees included state and local groups, such as hunting, fishing, and outdoor clubs, as well as ranchers and farmers. The Board was abolished in 1985, and the Water Resources Commission was created as a replacement.
