Biographical / Historical
The Cascade Range Forest Reserve was established in 1893 by the General Land Office. In 1905, all federal forests were transferred to the U.S. Forest Service. After this transfer, the forest was expanded and, in 1907, renamed the Cascade National Forest. Presently, the Forest's lands are part of the Willamette National Forest.
