Biographical / Historical
Henley High School is a public high school in Henley, southeast of Klamath Falls, Klamath County, Oregon. Henley Complex consists of Henley High School, Henley Middle School, and Henley Elementary, and is part of the Klamath County School District. The original Henley school was a one-room building on the west side of Highway 39. Henley Elementary was built in 1929, Henley Middle School was built in 1949 and added on to during the 1950s, and the High School was built in 1972. The community was named after James T. Henley, who operated a large ranch there in 1880s. Mrs. Sophia Steele Henley sold a piece of her land to the school and the whole Complex was named after her.
