Wheat and grain are among the agricultural produce grown in the Klamath Basin, along with potatoes, onions, barley and alfalfa. Harvested wheat is bundled into stacks and fed into a threshing machine. Successfully growing this crop in the Klamath Basin depends on the weather conditions and available irrigation water. On average a grain crop may take four months from planting to harvest.
