Lava Beds National Monument is located in northeastern California, and consists of numerous lava tubes, available for public access. Matthew Godfrey was the president of Historical Research Associates, Inc., a for-profit historical and archeological consulting firm headquartered in Missoula, Montana. One of his areas of expertise is the history of the American West. Paul Sadin is a member of the Historical Research Associates, Inc. in Seattle, WA. Historical research Associates (HRA) is one of the oldest private history and archaeology firms in the United States. It started in 1974 in Missoula, Montana, and later opened offices around the Pacific Northwest. The firm works with federal, state and private groups to address contemporary legal and administrative problems. The firm supports attorneys with historical research.
