The Collier Memorial State Park/Logging Museum is located in southern Oregon. It is used for recreation, such as hiking, camping, and fishing. The Park was established in 1945, when two brothers Alfred D. and Andrew Collier donated land to the state of Oregon as a memorial to their parents, Charles Morse Collier and Janet McCornack Collier. Through 1962 they continued to acquire land for the Park. As the owners of the Swan Lake Moulding Company, they possessed a large amount of logging equipment that had been used in the Klamath Basin and donated it to the Park. This equipment is featured in the Logging Museum, the Park’s main attraction. Collier Memorial State Park contains one of the largest collections of logging equipment in the world. Alfred Collier continued to add to this collection until his death in 1988.
