Sketch Map of Oregon Territory (Indian Tribes)
The Oregon Territory existed from 1848 to 1859. It encompassed present-day Oregon, Washington, and Idaho, as well as parts of what became Wyoming and Montana. Collection consists of a copy of a sketch map of "Oregon Territory, Exhibiting the Location of Various Indian Tribes, the Districts of Country, Ceded by Them, With the Dates of Purchases and Treaties, and the Reserves of the Umpqua and Rogue River Indians."
Speckle Butte Railway Map
Speckle Butte is located in the Crook County, Oregon. Collection contains a hand-drawn map of Central and Southern Oregon with railroad, ranches, rivers, roads and mountains.
Township Maps of Oregon, 1800s
Land (cadastral) surveys accomplished under the U.S. Government's Rectangular Survey System are the basis for the establishment of land titles and boundaries within Oregon. The initial point for the land surveys in Oregon is referred to as the Willamette Stone, and the principle survey meridian is named the Willamette Meridian. Collection contains a set of copies of nine township maps in Southern Oregon: Willamette Meridian.
Tule Lake Project: Master Plot Plan
The Tule Lake Relocation and Segregation Center operated between 1942 and 1946 as one of ten federal installations for internment of Japanese and Japanese-Americans during World War II. Collection consists of a copy of a map of the Camp, drawn March 16, 1945. The map shows both the original structures and what was left as of April 14, 2001.
Water Courses of the Klamath Region: Map
The Klamath Region, typically known as the Klamath Basin, refers to the region in Oregon and California that is drained by the Klamath River. Collection contains a map of South-Central Oregon and Northern California with locations of lakes, rivers, marshes, Klamath Indian Reservation, and added images of birds, animals and fish inhabiting the area.
