A poster donated by Bill Johnson in 2007. "Notice: Headquarters Western Defense Command and Fourth Army. Presidio of San Francisco, California. May 23, 1942. Civilian Exclusion Order No. 95". An order signed by J.L. DeWitt, Lieutenant General, U.S. Army, Commanding. The Order commands all persons of Japanese ancestry to report to the designated locations within the specified time frame: between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm, Sunday, May 24, 1942. Failure to comply will result in immediate apprehension and internment.
