Biographical / Historical
Water Crisis or Conflict in the Klamath Basin took place in the fall of 2001 after a severe draught. The order of the US Bureau of Reclamation held the water in the region’s waterways, giving preference for the fishermen and endangered fish species over irrigation, vital for the farming community. This action prompted protests and attempts to reopen the gates of the local waterways. Anders Tomlinson is an artist and photographer, who for many years recorded the noteworthy events and beauty of the Klamath Basin in his videos, photographs and on canvas.
