Alvin Alexander Cheyne was born in Klamath Falls in 1921 on the farm where he lived most of his life. The Alvin and Beverly Cheyne Collection contains information related to the 2001 Klamath Water Crisis. It consists of newspapers, magazines, publications, council meeting transcripts, and various agriculture-related documents.

A Salt Caves Dam proposal from Pacific Power and Light (PP&L) Company and the city of Klamath Falls in 1980s caused protests from conservationists as a threat to the scenic Klamath River Canyon. The proposal was never carried through a s a result. Collection contains a binder with records of ethnographic studies and cultural resources surveys of the sites: Klamath River Canyon (September 1989), and Salt Caves Dam Reservoir (July 1986).

I.S. Voorhees was the Assistant Engineer for the Klamath Project from 1904-1906 and the Assistant Project Engineer from 1907 to 1912. Collection contains a binder with the copies of the report on the Bureau of Reclamation water management project in the Klamath Basin, written by assistant engineer I.S. Voorhees (misspelled on the cover).

Anders Tomlinson is an artist and photographer, who for many years recorded the noteworthy events and beauty of the Klamath Basin in his videos, photographs and on canvas. The collection consists of a CD with color photographs taken by Anders Tomlinson in 2001, at the time of the Klamath Basin water crisis.

Klamath Water Crisis occurred in 2001, after an extreme drought. The Bureau of Reclamation failed to supply water to the local farmers, keeping it in Upper Klamath Lake to protect the habitat of the endangered suckerfish. Collection contains miscellaneous correspondence and documentation on the Klamath Basin Water Crisis of 2001.

Nelson Reed was a businessman, civic leader, and philanthropist in the Klamath Basin of Oregon and California. He was appointed chairman of the Oregon Klamath River Commission, the legislative study group that developed the Klamath River Compact with the California Klamath River Commission in 1957. Collection contains a folder with donation records, deeds of gift, and thank you letters from Nelson Reed.

The Klamath Water Users Association (KWUA) is a private, non-profit corporation that has represented farmers and ranchers of the Klamath Reclamation Project since 1953. Collection contains documentation related to the activities of this organization.

The National Water Resources Association (NWRA) is the most active and longest-running national association related to the development and policy of water resources. The NRA’s mission was to ensure that reclamation projects in the West were authorized and constructed. Collection contains folders with papers related to the activities of the NWRA.

The Oregon Water Resources Congress (OWRC) has promoted the protection and use of water rights, as well as the supervision of water resources, since 1912. Collection contains OWRC minutes, proceedings, correspondence.

The Water Policy Review Board was created in 1975 to supervise the Water Resources Department. Collection contains pamphlets, hearing records, minutes of the Board meetings, related to the activities of the Board.
