Contains checks, financial documentation, and correspondence with beer and food companies on the subject of storing and selling their products. The letters are typed and handwritten.

Biographical / Historical

Claude H. Daggett was a well-known businessman and treasurer in Klamath Falls. Daggett was born in 1879 and moved to Klamath Falls in 1893 with his parents. In 1908, he was elected treasurer of Klamath County. During his time serving as treasurer, he became incredibly popular and was re-elected for a second term and nominated for a third. His popularity with the locals of the county extended to his business career. He was secretary of the American Bank & Trust Company of Klamath Falls and served as the treasurer for the Elks lodge of Klamath Falls. His most notable accomplishment was the Klamath Falls Warehouse & Forwarding Company, which he helped organize and became the manager of. The Company was important in the development of business in Klamath Falls and marked the construction of the first ice and cold storage plant in the area.
