Typed and handwritten Gober Family memoirs, written by family members: Wallace Gene Gober (son of C.J. Gober), John D. Gober (son of C.J. Gober), Lana C. Gober, Clarence John Gober, and Mike Beymer (son of Pat Short Beymer, Mrs. Fred Beymer). Each folder contains memoirs written by a family member. The family lived in several places in Oregon, with the first ancestors arriving in the state in the 1800s.

Biographical / Historical
The Gober family has lived in Oregon since the 1800s, many of its members being born in Klamath Falls. Wallace Gene Gober was born in 1939. Wallace married Carole Osterman in 1960 in Lakeview. They divorced in 1973, after which Wallace married Patricia McDowell in 1975. In 1984, Wallace was ordained as an Episcopal priest. Clarence John “Tab” Gober was born in 1907 in Oak Creek, Oregon. He was Wallace’s father. Clarence Mary Elizabeth Short in 1928. He died in Klamath Falls in 1989. Mike Beymer was born in 1945 in Klamath Falls. He is a descendant of the Short family and the son of Patricia Beymer. In 1996, he married Mary McCain. He died in 2010.
