Abstract

The collection includes Collier’s extensive logging photograph collection; photographs, documents and letters documenting his World War I military service and family history materials. Alfred D. “Cap” Collier was a noted twentieth century lumberman and philanthropist in Klamath County, Oregon.

George T. and Josephine Nail Baldwin Family Tree

Abstract

George Thompson Baldwin was a pioneer settler and businessman in Linkville, Oregon. During his long life in Linkville, he served as the County judge and State Senator. In 1872, he married Josephine Nail Baldwin. Their daughter, Maud Baldwin, was a celebrated photographer, whose many photographs are held in the Shaw Library. Collection contains a chart done by hand on 2 sides of cardboard, tracing the descendants of George and Josephine Baldwin.

The collection consists of correspondence on various topics to and from J. D. (Judson Dean) Howard written between 1920 and 1959 and a folder of notes and miscellany dated from 1917 to 1934. J. D. Howard is best known as the “father” of Lava Beds National Monument in northern California.
