Nelson Reed and Nell Kuonen Collection on the Klamath River Compact Commission
The collection consists of documents, photocopies and images from the Klamath River Commission addressing land and water use in the Klamath River watershed of Oregon and California. The Commission was instrumental in the creation of the 1957 Klamath River Compact. Nelson Reed was a founding member of the Klamath River Compact Commission. Nell Kuonen was appointed Federal representative and Chairperson of the Commission in 1983.

The collection contains an unbound paper by Gerald R. Gates, Forest Archaeologist, Modoc National Forest. The paper examines the history of the armed conflict between the US Army and the Modocs at the Scorpion Point, California, and the efforts of the Passport in Time volunteers to confirm the site of the conflict.

Raymond H. Bitney joined the Bureau of Indian Affairs in 1926 as forest assistant at the Klamath Agency. He spent 2 years as the Superintendent of the Klamath Agency, Oregon. Collection contains copy of document containing resolution that describes unsatisfactory performance of Mr. Bitney as the Superintendent of the Klamath Agency.
Robert Ballard "Bob" Kennedy Collection, 1905-2009
Robert Ballard Kennedy was born in Sunnyside, Washington, on November 4, 1919. Much of his life revolved around logging. The collection consists of miscellaneous materials related to his activities as Oregon logger, builder and a State Representative (1980-1982). The collection is divided into two series: Logging and Legislature.
Robert Mezger Collection on Klamath Indian Reservation Forestry
Robert W. Mezger was born on December 8, 1922 in Jersey City, New Jersey. After becoming a forester for the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Robert Mezger took a position with the Klamath Indian Reservation in 1952. Collection contains documentation on the accounting and timber sales at the Klamath Indian Reservation
David A. Ross Collection
David A. Ross is a Certified Wildlife Biologist with the Wildlife Society. He moved to Klamath Falls in April 1999 to work for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Collection contains assorted materials donated by David Ross, on riparian and wetlands issues in the local area.

The Oregon-California railroad was formed from the Oregon Central Railroad in 1869. Throughout its construction, the land surrounding the railroads was sold to encourage settlement and growth. Collection contains a book of maps of the Oregon-California railroad (Klamath and Siskiyou counties).
Russian Farms on Reeder Road, Oregon: Map
Russian Orthodox “Old Believers” fled Russia after the introduction of church reforms they refused to adopt. Many Russian families settled on farms in Oregon, tending land and sending their children to the local schools. Collection consists of a hand-drawn map with locations of Russian farms along the Highway 39, from Klamath Falls to Merrill.
