Harry Dolan Boivin served for 26 years in the Oregon Legislative Assembly including holding the offices of Speaker of the House and Senate President. The collection is composed of two series: Series I: Oregon Legislature Activity Scrapbooks covering the period 1935-1969 (6.5 linear feet, 13 boxes) and Series II: Personal Papers covering the period 1911-1990 (1 linear foot, 2 boxes).

The years 1945-1946 saw several major historical events, both in and out of the Klamath Basin. Collection contains a scrapbook created and donated by Richard H. Dewey through Millie Lewis. The clippings cover the years 1945-1946 and 1951, and are about international and local events (e.g. rodeos in Klamath Basin, parade in Klamath Falls and new school buildings).

Dr. Bernard Daly was a physician, a judge and a legislative representative in the town of Lakeview, Oregon. He actively encouraged young people to attend college, establishing a fund in his will for worthy Lakeview students to attend the University of Oregon. Collection contains of a scrapbook made out of one article: "He Sent a County to College" by Jack Zimmerman, Beaverton Free-Lance Writer of the Sunday Oregonian newspaper, September 18, 1955.

Effective and comprehensive public-school education in Oregon started in the early twentieth century. Currently there are 188 school disctricts in the state. Collection consists of a scrapbook with newspaper clippings, handwritten notes and typed sheets of text on the education and school districts in the area.
