Billie DeVaul Fitzhugh Family History Collection, 2006

Abstract Billie DeVaul Fitzhugh was the daughter of William and Laura DeVaul. She grew up and spent her life in Barnes Valley, Langell Valley and Klamath Falls, Oregon. The collection consists of her unpublished memoir, "A Short History of the DeVaul Family As I Remember It," with memories from 1928-2003.

Abstract George C. Flitcraft, Klamath Falls mayor (1974 – 1992), was born in 1919 in California. Collection contains a folder with 23 family photographs and newspaper clippings. Also included is the Flitcraft Family Tree from 1800s to the early 1900s.

Forest Conditions in the Cascade Range Forest Reserve, Oregon

Abstract The Cascade Range Forest Reserve was established in 1893 by the General Land Office. Presently, the Forest's lands are part of the Willamette National Forest. Collection contains an unbound copy of the report, used for digitization. The digitized version of the document is held at the OIT Library’s Klamath Waters Digital Collection.

Forest Lumber Company Train: Photograph

Abstract The Modoc Lumber Company was formed in 1918 by J. O. Goldthwaite. It operated in a company town called Pine Ridge, located on the Klamath Indian Reservation about 2 miles from Chiloquin. It was eventually renamed the Forest Lumber Company. Collection contains a sepia photograph from Harry Mesner collection: a Forest Lumber Company train carrying logs.

The meridian extends to the north and south from Mount Diablo and is used to describe lands in most of northern California. George T. and Josephine Nail Baldwin Family Tree

Abstract George Thompson Baldwin was a pioneer settler and businessman in Linkville, Oregon. During his long life in Linkville, he served as the County judge and State Senator. In 1872, he married Josephine Nail Baldwin. Their daughter, Maud Baldwin, was a celebrated photographer, whose many photographs are held in the Shaw Library. Collection contains a chart done by hand on 2 sides of cardboard, tracing the descendants of George and Josephine Baldwin.
